Employee Benefits and Incentives
To ensure our exceptional employees receive the most competitive benefits and incentives available, Staffmark is pleased to offer the following:
Healthcare Program
Staffmark offers medical, dental, prescription, short-term disability, and life insurance benefits to our temporary employees and their families through Essential StaffCARE limited benefit medical plan. This Blue Cross Blue Shield program is underwritten by BCS Insurance Company and administered by Planned Administrators, Inc. Employees are eligible to enroll in this program after their first day on assignment. Coverage will begin the first Monday following the first payroll deduction.
Tenure Bonus
Employees are eligible for a tenure bonus after the accumulation of 1,800 hours in a rolling 12-month period. This bonus is calculated using the average pay rate and the average weekly hours for that 12-month period. Employees are eligible to earn one tenure bonus in each 12-month period.
Holiday Pay
Holiday pay may be earned after the accumulation of 1,800 hours in a 12-month period. An employee must work the scheduled day before and after the holiday to qualify. Staffmark’s recognized holidays are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
401(k) Program
To assist our employees with retirement savings, Staffmark is pleased to offer a 401(k) savings program. Employees are eligible to enroll in the 401(k) program after completing 1,000 hours of work and 12 months of service.
Referral Bonus Program
At Staffmark, our customers and satisfied employees refer over 50% of all new employees. To thank those employees who refer new people to Staffmark, we have a bonus program that rewards our employees each time they make a referral who works a set number of hours. All referrals must be new to our company.
Direct Deposit
Staffmark employees can also take advantage of direct deposit of their paychecks. This feature is safe, secure, and more convenient than picking up checks in the branch offices or having checks mailed.
Debit Account
In addition to our direct deposit program, Staffmark also offers a debit card program for those employees who prefer this option. Employees can open this debit account and have their paychecks directly deposited, accessing their funds through a debit card.
FMLA
As part of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), eligible Staffmark employees can receive up to 12 weeks of unpaid time off for qualifying reasons with advance notice and certification. Eligibility begins after one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked in the previous 12 months.
Complimentary Software Training/Tutorials
Staffmark is excited to give our employees the opportunity to upgrade their skills on a variety of the latest software packages. These tutorials are available at any of our branch locations and are free of charge to all employees.
Résumé Assistance and Interviewing Tips
Our talented branch teams are a great resource for our employees to get assistance with resume preparation, as well as tips and suggestions on how to best present yourself in an interview.
Awards and Recognition
Staffmark has several programs to recognize and award temporary employees for their hard work and dedication. Award programs can include perfect attendance awards and bonuses, employee of the week and/or month awards, and merit reviews and pay increases.
